Technical requirements
One of the fundamental requirements that formed the basis for the architecture and development of the Webscape Adaptive Framework was that it needed to be easy to install without any external dependencies.
We succeded in that goal, so in order to run WAF on your server, all you need are the basics:
- Windows Server 2000+
- .Net 3.5
- Database. Currently supported database engines(we can add support for other databases if needed):
- SQL Server installation (all versions including Express is supported)
- MySQL installation.
Requirements for content contributors
The goal of being easy to get up and running also extends to the edit interface. Unlike many other content management systems, we didn't want our system to only be accessible to one specific operating system or browser.
WAF supports IE7, IE8, Firefox and Chrome. Opera and Safari works pretty well, but itsn't tested on a regular basis. Many of our customers only have Macs, and they can enjoy a fully featured application.
